Bell has been a free agent for a few weeks now, and a source tells us that Bell is closely monitoring the free-agent market, and is close to taking a visit to Baltimore.
The Baltimore Ravens have reportedly held a private workout with running back Le’Veon Bell, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com.
While it may be difficult to believe that former Kansas City Chiefs running back Le’Veon Bell would ever work out for the Baltimore Ravens, the 30-year old has reportedly already talked to the team about working out with them.
On June 11, former Chiefs running back LeVeon Bell said that he will “never play for Andy Reid again.”
After two of the team’s running backs, J.K. Dobbins and Justice Hill, sustained season-ending injuries before the regular season started, the Baltimore Ravens have been working out this week. And one of the guys they signed is Le’Veon Bell, who has connections to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Bell is one of a select group of running backs who have worked out.
Baltimore hauled in Bell, Kenji Baher, Devonta Freeman, Elijah Holyfield, and Reginald McKenzie this week, according to Albert Breer of The MMQB, who noticed their names on Monday’s transaction wire.
Because of his record, which includes over 6,400 career running yards and 40 touchdowns, Bell is the most well-known name among those that worked out for the Ravens. Freeman is the other well-known athlete, having spent six years with the Atlanta Falcons, during which he had back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons and 27 total touchdowns.

What, on the other hand, makes Baltimore such an appealing location for Bell? According to ESPN analyst Jeremy Fowler, the veteran running back “wanted his next stop to emphasize the RB.”

Baltimore is the ideal match for Bell if he wants to play for a club that values its running backs. According to NFL.com, the Ravens had the best rushing offense in the league last season, running for 3,071 yards, averaging 5.5 yards per carry, and scoring 24 total touchdowns on the ground. That’s almost 500 yards more than the league’s second-best rushing offense, the Tennessee Titans, who racked up 2,690 yards on the ground. While quarterback Lamar Jackson has benefited the most from the run game in Baltimore, with 1,005 rushing yards and seven touchdowns last season, there are plenty of chances for several running backs to get double-digit touches in any one game.
Bell’s Time With The Chiefs
Bell’s most recent appearance on a football field was with the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2023 season. After being released by the New York Jets on October 14, Bell signed with the Kansas City Chiefs and appeared in ten games for them, nine in the regular season and one in the playoffs. Bell carried the ball 63 times for 254 yards — 4.0 yards per attempt — and two touchdowns for a player who was thought to be coming out of a New York system that hampered all of its players; according to Pro Football Reference, Bell carried the ball 63 times for 254 yards — 4.0 yards per attempt — and two touchdowns. However, it was his comments, not his performance, that left a bad taste in Chiefs Kingdom’s mouth.
Bell was asked whether he had been re-signed by Kansas City in an Instagram post back in June. “I’ll never play for Andy Reid again,” Bell said in response to the remark. “I’d take a break first.” This raised some concerns about what might cause Bell to have such deep emotions for Reid. Bell used Twitter to clarify that he had strong emotions towards Reid as a result of what he said to the Kansas City head coach. Bell, on the other hand, did not go into depth about his conversation with Reid.

For us, he had some fruitful downs. In the future, I’m rooting for him. That’s just how I roll.
